MANLIUS, N.Y. -- Friends of an East Syracuse teen killed in a bicycle crash have built a memorial for him. Just before 8 a.m. Tuesday, Austin Elmore, 17, was hit while riding his bike at the intersection of Fremont Road and Kirkville Road.

He was on his way to summer school at East Syracuse Minoa High School, a short distance away.

His friends erected a cross and left candles, flowers and pictures of the 17-year-old. Elmore had just finished his junior year at the school.

The investigation into the circumstances of the crash is still ongoing.
