ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Salina man is accused of putting a toddler in the hospital with critical injuries. Onondaga County Sheriff's deputies arrested Sharif Hamilton Monday at Orchard Estates for allegedly abusing a two-year-old girl.

The toddler is in critical condition at Upstate University Hospital.

Hamilton is charged with first-degree assault, and endangering the welfare of a child. The child's mother is not facing any charges.
