NEW YORK STATE -- Federal authorities have finally caught up with two men suspected in a string of bank robberies spanning from Central New York to Chicopee, Massachusetts.

Since early January, police had been plastering photos of the two suspects on the news, hoping that someone could identify them. They now say they are Zachariah Edwards and Nicholas Ferrone, both 21. Edwards is seen wearing the Pittsburgh Pirates hat.

The men are from Utica. Each surrendered to authorities within the past week.

The men are accused of robbing eight banks together - four in Central New York, three in the Capital Region and one in Massachusetts.

Police believe they each committed bank robberies on their own as well.

Each robbery carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Both Edwards and Ferrone are being held without bail and are awaiting detention hearings scheduled for Wednesday.
