Edge Fest 2007
ALAMONT, N.Y. -- It's not a bad deal, twenty bands for $20. A concert event known as " Edge Fest 2007."
"One band goes on and another goes on right after, and they've really got it like a tight ship here. It’s really cool, lots of bands and lots of stuff happening. It’s a good time,” said Carl Bell, a member of the band "Fuel."
Radio station 104.9 The Edge hosted the event, which took place at the Altamont Fairgrounds. The day basically turned into a modern day Woodstock.
"To our surprise it was mobbed here at ten in the morning. I would say a good 2,000, 3,000 people. We took the stage, the bands before us already warmed us up. The place was hopping. The energy coming from the crowd was off the walls,” said Debbie Gabrione, Ten Year Vamp Band member.
"They asked us to come down to edge fest. It's been beautiful weather, and the crowd is great, there's thousands of people here, it's awesome, so it's been a great vibe all day,” said Mike Ruocco, Cinder Road.

Rock festivals like this continue to be popular, not only in this country, but overseas as well.
"We just spent the last year or so touring with Guns and Roses all over the world. One thing we noticed in Europe is they have a lot of festivals. A lot of bands on one bill,” said Sebastian Bach.
And one band member even reminisced about his younger days in the capital region.
"We had a house gig here in Albany about ten years ago. It’s kind of cool to come back and see some old friends,” said Bell.
