CONNECTICUT -- The news world has lost a legend this weekend. Famed "60 Minutes" reporter Mike Wallace has died.
Wallace passed away surrounded by family Saturday night at the Waveny Care Center in New Canaan, Connecticut where he had been living for the last few years.
He is best known for his tough interviews and skeptical follow up questions. Wallace was on the staff of "60 Minutes" when it first began back in 1968 and stayed on for the majority of his career.
He retired from being a regular on the show back in 2006, but continued to contribute sporadically, even landing an exclusive interview with former Yankees pitcher Roger Clemens in 2008.
Mike Wallace was 93.
