Kuhl votes for bailout
NATIONWIDE -- Randy Kuhl, 29th District Congressman, voted for the bailout, after he voted against it earlier this week. Kuhl says he voted against the first bill to get a better one. He says it now includes some protections for taxpayers, like more coverage by the FDIC, but Kuhl says he primarily changed his vote because waiting any longer wasn't an option.
"By that time, you may have lost many corporations, many financial institutions along the way and had many people laid off, hundreds if not thousands and I just don't want to play that kind of game with making it absolutely perfect,” said Kuhl.

"Randy Kuhl, my opponent, flip-flopped and yielded under pressure from corporate special interests in the Bush administration to make sure he voted for this bill and it's a very sad day for the American taxpayer,” said Massa.
Kuhl's congressional challenger, Eric Massa, says changes to the bailout plan only added pork and corporate tax breaks. He says he would have voted against it both times.
Kuhl says Congress has to keep working to reform and restructure the financial system.
