STEUBEN COUNTY, N.Y. -- An Elmira man accused of killing a man in Corning last summer is headed to trial this week.
Marland Brooks, 39, is charged with two counts of second degree murder, robbery and criminal possession of a weapon for allegedly stabbing and killing Clark Van Etten last June.
Jury selection begins in Steuben County Court Monday.
This comes after Brooks got into a physical altercation with corrections officers earlier this month. Brooks will face the new assault charges February 1st.
