BINGHAMTON, N.Y. --Verizon workers in Binghamton rally against the company as part of a national movement.
The workers protested Thursday against what they call the corporate greed of Verizon.
Contract negotiations between the company and CWA union workers have been delayed for some time. That contract expired last August.
Union workers went on strike for two weeks when the contract first expired, and say they are still hopeful for a fair agreement.
"Good benefits and good wages are a right to every worker and with solidarity and sticking together, we could leverage our power, which is in numbers against the corporations who have money and hopefully we'll all be better off," said CWA Eastern District Vice President Vince Dirosa.
The Verizon workers are currently operating under the old contract until an agreement is reached.
