WORLDWIDE -- There are reports that former SU assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine has landed a new job. According to ESPN.com, a team in the Israeli Basketball Super League will announce today that Fine has been hired as a basketball consultant for the team, which is owned by Florida-based businessman Jeffrey Rosen.

The article says the team will include Fine on player personnel decisions, as well as the team's coaching search for next season, but he will work out of the U.S.

Bernie Fine spent 36 years at SU before he was fired last fall amid sexual abuse allegations. Fine has denied any wrong-doing and no charges have been filed.
