CHENANGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- The man convicted in a deadly hit and run crash in Chenango County last October was sentenced on Tuesday.

Daniel Preston, 27, of Plainfield received one-and-a-half to four-and-a-half years in prison, and had his license suspended for at least six months.

Last October, Preston was driving on Route 25 in Columbus when he hit and killed Linda Jakubowski-Decker, 50, who was walking near the Agro-Farma facility. He left the scene of the crash, but was later found at his home.
