BROOME COUNTY, N.Y. -- Several watch parties will be held Thursday night as President Obama accepts the nomination from the Democratic Party for a second term as president. One of those watch parties will be held at Binghamton University.

"They were selected to be part of the back drop for the president's speech. It's a pretty good opportunity for them. It is kind of a testament to how good the college democrats are at Binghamton University. How hard they have worked for the Democratic Party in the past. We are really happy to see them have that kind of opportunity," said Jim Testani, Broome County Democrats Committee Chair.

The college is expected to actually be featured in the coverage Thursday night.
