Health care study results released
JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- Were you interviewed by Jefferson Community College students last summer asking you about health care? If you were, it might have been for this study.
JCC conducted a survey of people living in the area for the River Hospital in Alexandria Bay. More than 700 people were asked various questions about what they feel they need when it comes to health care.
The study shows that overall people are extremely satisfied with the care at River Hospital, with cancer being the biggest concern.
Facility leaders say they'll take the information and put it to good use.

"What's the most helpful about it is that we're very concerned about making the right decision about the new programs we promote for our community. We want to ensure they are addressing the needs and desires of the community," said Ben Moore, CEO of River Hospital.
People said they'd like to see the hospital do more outreach and more education events.
