Addie Jenne Russell sworn into office
WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- The 118th Assembly District, better known as the River District, has been without a representative in Albany since February, but Darrel Aubertine's successor has finally taken her seat.

Addie Jenne Russell held a ceremonial swearing in at the State Office Building in Watertown Saturday. Her Watertown office will be located there on the 11th floor.

Russell served on the Jefferson County Board of Legislators before her election. She says she's excited to get started working on issues facing all New Yorkers.

"We do have a lot of work ahead of us. I think if we put our heads down and we really work at this budget deficit that we are going to be able to keep the state moving forward and prepare for a better time,” said Addie Jenne Russell, (D) 118th Assembly Watertown.

This is the man Jefferson County Democrats hope will replace Russell on the board of legislators, Allen Drake.

The current supervisor for the Town of Theresa will be brought to the board for possible appointment Tuesday.
