ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- Four days of deliberations, countless hours going over evidence and the jury still has no verdict for the Ogdensburg man accused of murdering his neighbor.

The jury of ten men and two women has been deliberating since Monday night on the retrial for Wayne Oxley. Oxley is accused of beating his neighbor, Bernard Trickey Jr., to death in 2005. Oxley was convicted of murder in 2006, but it was overturned last year.

On Thursday afternoon, the jury said they were deadlocked, but the judge sent them back to keep deliberating.

Oxley says he fears it may end up in a hung jury.

Oxley said, "Nothing's gonna change. This needs to end for my family and the Trickey family. Very optimistic though. I hope God guides these jury members to make the right decision and send me home to my family."

The jury will resume deliberations Friday morning.

The retrial started about two months. Both the defense and prosecution called dozens of witnesses in the case.
