CAPE VINCENT, N.Y. -- A man was transported from Jefferson County to a Syracuse hospital after being hit in the head by a cow.

Few details are available as to how it happened, but authorities got the call around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

It happened on County Route 6 in Cape Vincent. The patient was driven to a helicopter landing zone in Dexter and transported to Syracuse. The man's name and condition have not been released.
