WATERTOWN, N.Y. -- Teens in Watertown are dancing for twelve hours straight hoping to help other kids in need. The Children's Miracle Dance-a-thon for Kids Sake at Case Middle School was organized by about 17 students across the North County interested in medical careers.
This year the kids are hoping to raise about $10,000 dollars for children with medical needs right in their community. Organizers say this event is one that has helped them learn how important giving back to the community is.
Lyme Central High School Senior Shelbi-Jo Wilson said, "It's really shown me a lot about working with a team, leading a people and just helping out. I love helping the CMN and every benefit that comes from it."
BOCES New Vision Instructor Kathy Gebo said, "I just think it's remarkable what teenagers can do when they set their minds to it."
Teens will dance until 12 AM Sunday.
