JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- Starting this weekend traveling across the Thousand Islands Bridge system could take a little longer. From Sunday through the end of June crews will be cleaning and performing maintenance on the bridge during the overnight hours. That means there will only be one-way traffic on the bridge during from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday to Friday.
There will not be any work Friday or Saturday nights. But the Bridge Authority says delays may still happen.
