ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- The issue of child sex abuse has been in the news a great deal lately, especially with the allegations against Bernie Fine. The increased spotlight on the issue is leading to questions about prevention, and what can be done to safeguard children who interact with those in positions of authority, like sports coaches.

It is the focus of a town hall meeting tonight led by the McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy Center. It's a call to action on prevention of child abuse in athletics.

McMahon/Ryan's town hall meeting is tonight at OCC's Storer Auditorium from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

YNN will broadcast a portion of the forum from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., including a variety of experts who will speak on the topic. You can also watch the forum streaming here on YNN.com.
