CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The March on Wall Street South wrapped up with no major problems.
About 700 demonstrators took to the streets to protest big banks and big business on the eve of the Democratic National Convention.
Charlotte Mecklenburg Police reported they were very happy with the overall day and said there was only one arrest during the march.
A woman was arrested near Fourth and College streets in uptown, which wasn't anywhere near the protest route.
They said she was intoxicated, wearing a mask and carrying a knife.
Protesters finished their march late Sunday afternoon at Frazier Park, where they began.
Duke Energy issued a statement following Sunday's march, saying it welcomes everyone to Charlotte for the DNC, including protesters.
Duke also said protesters didn't mention all the good the utility has done, like shutting down 23 coal-fired power plants, planning to shut down 26 more over the next four-years and opening 13 new company-owned solar power plants.
