It's all about the view! And there are many great views from the fairly new Kimpton Hotel Ink48. On 48th Street and 11th Avenue in New York City, the old printing press from the 1930s is now a boutique hotel with an appropriate name. The views are great from most guest rooms because there are no other tall buildings next to the hotel! However, when making reservations, be sure to ask for a great view. I prefer the city view versus the Hudson River view.

There are 16 floors to Ink48 with a rooftop bar/lounge called The Press Lounge that has one of New York City's best views! Drinks are pricey but it's worth it when the stunning view is included! Room rates from $350 per night, after the holidays from $200. Check website or call reservations for exact rates.

Ink48 is located near the Theatre District and good restaurants, all within a 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel. You are also close to Pier 86 that is home to the USS Intrepid and now the space shuttle Enterprise!

Getn' There: Driving into New York City, enter on Route 9A and a left turn onto 48th St. and a right onto 11th Avenue. The only hotel parking is Valet Parking $55-$65 per day.
