Completing the home theater

Completing the home theater
We are almost complete with our home theater where we took a former library and changed it into a mini-movie theater if you will.

So far, we have taken a piece of furniture and custom built it to accommodate your equipment, we have taken the doors and put in speaker cloth for better ventilation.

Inside the door we have got a DVD player, a VCR for old movies and flicks. We have our center-channel speaker which delivers the dialogue for the movie and we have our base and also behind the scenes we have a surge-projection unit that protects our projector and we also have a ventilation fan that is down in the basement.

As we look around the room we see side surround speakers which are about halfway into the seating and then we have back surround speakers which provide the effects. We have three zones in here. One of the zones is the ceiling light. The other is the fireplace light and the third is the marquee lights for the posters.

For effect in the room we have got these chairs a little bit nicer than the ones I remember in the theaters but they are upholstered in the same type of material and fabric that we had. We also added brass rails and the faux painting on the walls to help again create this real theater feel.
