Fulfilling its promise to offer more than just video games in 3D, Nintendo's glasses-free 3D handheld, the 3DS, is getting into the 3D video download business.

Nintendo Video is a new virtual storefront on Nintendo's eShop.

Once 3DS users apply a free update, they have access to the video store, which right now has just a few selections for download - and they are all for free.

Nintendo says that going forward, the store will primarily stock 3D video shorts - including music videos, animations, extreme sports and specially made content from folks like Blue Man Group.

Nintendo Video is a free download via Nintendo's eShop and it is available now.

"WT360 Pro" is a great app for anyone trying to figure out when this extreme heat will cool off.

Weather Trends 360 is a website that offers long term weather forecasts and the app version has forecasts up to a full year in advance.

Developers say this is far from a guessing game or a parlor trick. They use history and a highly developed statistical forecasting model used by some Fortune 500 companies to compute their long-range predictions.

Its creators say the app is perfect for those planning outdoor events like weddings, birthdays, or even vacations to get a good estimate of what kind of mood Mother Nature will be in on any particular day.

"WT360 Pro" is an iOS app and costs 99 cents.
