The pros are out on the links as the first round of the Turning Stone Resort Championship is now underway. Local favorite Notah Begay III teed off at the Atunyote golf course earlier this morning. The weather caused play to be suspended for a few hours earlier this morning as thunderstorms moved across the area.

B-17 bomber makes stop in Syracuse

It's not every day you get to take a flight in a World War II bomber, but that's exactly what one of our YNN crews did Monday and what the public will have an opportunity to experience this weekend. The B-17 Bomber "Liberty Belle" stopped in Syracuse as part of Liberty Foundation's "Salute to Veterans" tour. The Flying Fortress is one of just 14 in the world that can still fly today. The body of Army Specialist Blair Thompson arrives in Rome. He was killed during an insurgent attack last week in Afghanistan. He was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. Iris St. Meran joins us from Rome. She spoke with some people in the community who came out to pay their respects.
