How about a train ride through the Adirondacks, with a bit of a twist? You'll find this fun family getaway on the Train Robbery ride aboard the Adirondack Scenic Railroad out of Thendara Station near Old Forge, N.Y.

Every Wednesday through August, 3 scheduled rides include the scenic excursion with the sudden stop of the train by the Loomis Gang, courtesy of the Mystery Company and Adirondack Saddle Tours. The characters are fun and silly that interact with the passengers.
