Living with epilepsy

Living with epilepsy
Twenty years ago Sharon San Angelo began experiencing strange symptoms. She tried to ignore them but one night she suffered a seizure, a disruption of the brain’s normal electrical activity.

Sharon is a trained nurse and found it difficult to come to terms with her condition. It was also frustrating because it took eight years for her diagnosis.

Sharon’s experience has led her to publish a book on epilepsy. She hopes it offers hope to others who have the condition.

“You’re not alone. There is hope. And you can never forget that. So it was a book with a purpose. That’s why I wrote it,” Sharon said.
