CANTON, N.Y. -- SUNY Canton's president has decided to retire and for the time being, the college's provost and vice president for academic affairs, Dr. Carli Schiffner, will fill the role.
President Joseph Kennedy won't be going far. He has accepted a position as a special advisor for the chancellor of shared services.
In this position, Kennedy will be working closely with the SUNY organization to figure out ways to share services with other SUNY colleges.
Kennedy’s retirement will become effective on August 31st. Dr. Schiffner will take over on a temporary basis the following day.
