MANLIUS, N.Y. -- Manlius is one of several communities celebrating Independence Day with a parade. Community groups marched through the village, with plenty of floats and music.
Veterans say they're happy to see such a big turnout.
"I think it's great that there's so much support coming out. The troops certainly deserve it, and our recognition of the foundation of this country certainly deserves it," said Eugene Ward, Korean War veteran.
The celebration continues all day in Manlius, ending with a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.
