CORTLAND, N.Y. -- The New York Jets will get their first test of the pre-season this Friday when they head to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals. But back at training camp at SUNY Cortland, it's been a testy couple of days on the practice field.
Monday, players had to be separated after a brawl broke out during a scrimmage. The fight started after running back Joe McKnight threw the football at a would-be tackler. This video was shot exclusively by Time Warner Cable Sports.
Then Tuesday, as the media was talking with team owner Woody Johnson, a few players got into it and that was enough for head coach Rex Ryan. As punishment, he had the team run gassers, which are sprints from sideline to sideline. That went on for about ten minutes.
The team has one more practice Wednesday before the pre-season opener with the Bengals. That practice is open to the public.
