A unique concert is coming to Syracuse tonight, which includes some ear grabbing rhythms and choreographed routines. The DRUMLine Live Tour is making its way to Onondaga Community College's SRC Arena. Our Brad Vivacqua reports.
ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Since the SRC Arena opened in January, we've seen a little bit of everything including sporting events, concerts, and home shows. Tonight, you'll have a chance to take in the DRUMLine Live Tour, which has been popular around the country for about four years now.
DRUMLine Live is based on the historically black college and university marching band tradition. The group's talented musicians are always a hit with drum corps fans as the show is action packed with drum riffs and synchronized dance.
SRC Arena officials say the live staged show is popular with anyone that enjoys a talented drum line performing original music and top 40 hits.
A good number of tickets have already sold due to a large interest in percussion performances in the region.
"There will be an interest from anybody that’s been associated with any kind of band, as well as just the sheer excitement of that many people choreographed to a very, very high degree. Because, this is a staged production," said Steve Hyman, SRC Arena General Manager.
Tickets for tonight's DRUMLine show range from $30 to $50 and can be purchased through SRC Arena's website at www.srcarena.com.
