SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Some good news for Central New York commuters as interstate 81 northbound in Syracuse has opened in time for the Monday morning commute.
Detours have been lifted for drivers. Construction crews have been replacing bridges on that stretch of the highway.
And as one project ends another begins. Workers will be repairing the railroad tracks on State Route 31 in Clay near the Caughdenoy Road intersection.
31 is scheduled to be closed on Monday and Tuesday while work is underway.
