ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Three years after unexpectedly closing its doors, Plainville's Nature's Fare Restaurant in Cicero is under new ownership once again. The restaurant was sold at auction on Monday for $270,000.
The name of the buyer is not being made public.
Plainville had been in business since 1974 before shutting down in February of 2010. The owner called it quits after learning that two suspected cases of salmonella had been traced to the restaurant. There was also a case in 2008 that forced it to close temporarily.
There is no word on what the new owner plans to do with the location.
