CORNING, N.Y. -- A Brooklyn man is arrested on drug and parole violation charges in Corning.
Corning Police say they encountered two men in a vehicle in the area of Bridge Street and West William Street around 1:30 Tuesday morning. During the encounter, officers discovered that Paris Wilmott, 29, had a suspended drivers license and was on parole out of New York City without a travel pass.
While Wilmott was being arrested, officers say he tried to conceal a quantity of cocaine.
His charges include criminal possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and violation of parole.
Wilmott is being held in County Jail on $50,000 bail.
