SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse Police are investigating two shootings within 12 hours.
The most recent shooting happened on Wednesday morning. Quonta Albert, 20, was shot multiple times on the 300 block of Bruce Street, but police say Albert ran through some back yards, eventually collapsing on Croly Street.
Albert was taken to the hospital for emergency surgery where he is in critical condition.
Police are trying to determine if this shooting is related to a south side shooting Tuesday night that left one woman dead.
"This appears to be a targeted shooting. It could be some type of retaliation, we just don't know yet. We're very early on in our investigation. We need information from the public. We need these shootings to stop, and the way that can stop is if people feed us information," Syracuse Police Sergeant Tom Connellan.
