SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The increased security for the President's arrival led to a fortunate arrest for Syracuse Police.
A robbery took place on the corner of James Street and Hickson, not far from Henninger High School. Two juveniles are accused of attacking a 30-year-old man and stealing an iPod and headphones from him. The suspects ended up running in the wrong direction.
"Unfortunately for them, they ran towards Henninger High School, which had approximately 150 police officers surrounding the area for the arrival of the president today," said Syracuse Police Sergeant Tom Connellan.
Both juveniles were charged with robbery in the second degree and taken to the Hillbrook Detention Center.
