JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- Authorities have decided to prosecute a Fort Drum soldier accused of putting a baby in scalding bath water.
The two-month-old was injured in the incident back in January, suffering second degree burns to 45 percent of their body.
Friday, State Police announced the arrest of Nathanael Garrison, 22. Garrison has been charged with second degree reckless assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Garrison was jailed on $10,000 bail.
Police do say that the baby was treated at Golisano Children’s Hospital and has recovered from the injuries.
