SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse police are investigating a double shooting early Saturday morning.
Authorities say two men were shot on the westside of the city around 4:30 a.m. The victims told police they were outside at a house party on the 500 block of Wyoming Street when they were approached by two men wearing black masks. The suspects attempted to rob them with a gun.
A 22-year-old was shot, but his injuries are not life-threatening. A 45-year-old chased after one of the suspects with a garbage can and also wound up getting shot. He was hit in the chest and had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery.
