NEW YORK STATE FAIR – Cans are used to create various displays in art form that calls for stacking, balancing, and concentration.
Canstruction features five teams of architects and builders who had to design creative sculptures out of cans of food from the grocery store.
The more 5,000 cans used in the art project will be donated to the Food Bank of Central New York and the Rescue Mission. The competition is designed to highlight the issue of hunger across New York State.
"So it's a great fundraiser, it's a great way for the design profession to do a fun sculptural architectural installation,” said Jeff Pawlowski, Central New York American Institute of Architects.
