ALEXANDRIA BAY, N.Y. -- Food, music and contests made the turnout for the fourth annual Rockin' the Bay a success.
It is a free event put on by the Chamber of Commerce as a way to get people to come to Alexandria Bay. Ferguson and Rogers took the stage on Saturday afternoon to play some classic rock music while visitors shopped, grabbed a bite to eat and walk the docks.
A Big Splash contest was also held to benefit the Alex Bay Rotary Club. Organizers said the weekend long event does a lot for the area.
"The whole point of the chamber is to bring people in and let them shop, eat, spend the night and let them do their thing. It gives people something to do for the summertime," said Susan Boyer, Chamber Executive Director.
On Sunday, there will be a classic car rally at 9 a.m. and a Beetles cover band will take the stage at noon.
