ITHACA, N.Y. -- A bicyclist is hospitalized after he was hit by a truck in Ithaca.
According to police, the bicyclist was riding on North Aurora Street on Saturday afternoon when the truck hit him. They said the biker suffered severe leg trauma and multiple cuts and bruises.
He was airlifted to a hospital in Pennsylvania.
Crews were also called to Ithaca Falls on Saturday after a hiker fell on a large piece of metal.
According to the first responders, the piece of metal became lodged in the hiker's foot. He was carried out of the area in a basket and transported to a nearby hospital.
The conditions of the bicyclist and hiker are unknown.
