BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -- A parolee from the Bronx has been arrested in connection with a shots fired incident in Binghamton.
According to police, several shots were fired on Friday night near Morgan Street and Chenango Street. Officers recovered a 12 gauge shotgun and shells on Morgan Street. They also found 9 millimeter shell casings on Chenango Street.
Further investigation led to the arrest of Roger Griffin, 29. He originally gave police the wrong name, which police came to find out was because he was a New York State Parolee currently under supervision in the Bronx.
Griffin is being held in the city jail on charges of criminal possession of a weapon.
