NEW YORK STATE FAIR-- Day six of the New York State Fair is Beef Day, highlighting the state's beef industry.
The Dairy Products Building will provide information about beef recipes and and different kinds of meat. You can also find cattle competitions taking place inside the beef cattle barn.
One local farmer we spoke to says she'd like more people to see how the cattle are raised.
"The average beef farm in the United States is 35 head or less, and people hear on the news big factory farms and all the negative things," said Jacquelyn Chotkowski of Spring Flight Farm. "And this is a way to actually see to talk to the people who are doing the work day in and day out."
There will be various beef-related events going on at the fairgrounds all day.
