NEW YORK STATE FAIR -- It was battle of the best water on the Colonnade Thursday, at the New York State Water Tasting Championship.
Water was submitted from 150 towns and villages from across the state. The winner is chosen by fairgoers, who get to sample and vote for their favorite taste.
This year's winner is the City of Rochester. Fort Plain was actually the runner up.
In its 27th year, it is a competition that highlights the hard work of those who keep our drinking water clean.
"This is one way we can acknowledge the people who work behind the scenes, day after day, and don't get the recognition," contest organizer Manoj Kjmera.
