ELMIRA, N.Y. -- The Elmira community is coming together to try and help a family devastated by a deadly fire. Four children were killed after flames tore through their Morrow Street home on Friday night.
The victims were siblings Courtney Stanton, 17, Amera Mansour, 10, N.J. Mansour, 7, and Jordan Mansour, 5.
Neighbors say they tried to rescue the children before firefighters showed up to the home.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
People wanting to make donations can go to the store "It's a Girl Thing," on College Avenue and Buffalo Wild Wings in Horseheads. The Buffalo Wild Wings will be doing a special week long fundraising event starting September 16th.
"I got involved just because it's heartbreaking. It's something we wanted to help, me and another staff member decided we do this all the time for organizations in the community. Why can't we do it for a family that is in need," said Carolyn Cleary, Service Manager for Buffalo Wild Wings.
Bands will be performing throughout the week, the company will be donating 20 percent of the checks during their performances that week and there will be a car show on the 21st to wrap it all up.
