NEW YORK STATE FAIR -- One of the best things of the last day at the Great New York State Fair is that you get a chance to talk to farmers one on one at the annual Ag Extravaganza.
Last year, more than 4,000 people stopped at the event in the Coliseum.
You can even pick up one of your favorite recipes and see just how many producers and how much work goes into your meal.
The event was started last year as a way to bring producers and fairgoers together.
"The one thing that's a common denominator is everybody's smiling. It's really a fun time. We've had people sit in chairs and pet a chicken on their lap or pet a rabbit. There's lamas here, horses, beef cattle, dairy cattle. There's goats," said Rich Brown, Ag Extravaganza co-organizer.
