OTSEGO COUNTY, N.Y. – Twenty-five college students were arrested in Oneonta during the holiday weekend.
According to the Oneonta Police Department, the arrests were all quality of life violations. That means most of the students were breaking municipal laws and were given appearance tickets.
According to officers, most charges included noise violations, open containers and public urination.
The Oneonta Police Department says there was an increase in violations in residential areas last year. In response, patrols have been stepped up on Fridays and Saturdays.
