CANTON, N.Y. -- As part of an ongoing effort to offer more conveniences for students, SUNY Canton recently purchased a shuttle bus.
The Roo Shuttle will provide commuter students with free transportation to and from campus during the day. At night, it will drive students to nearby businesses.
The new bus replaced an aging passenger van. So far, the new bus has been well received.
"The goal is to provide convenience. The goal is also to help students. Many students don't have a car, many students don't know people who have cars," said Nafeesa Johnson, a SUNY Canton Admissions Intern.
The shuttle will run Monday through Saturday, and is free to SUNY Canton students with a valid ID.
