The Dunkin' Run Arc Race provides a chance to get some exercise, and support people with developmental disabilities. Saturday's event features four different races, and all proceeds will benefit the Arc of Onondaga. YNN's Brad Vivacqua has more on the event.
LIVERPOOL, N.Y. -- The race on Saturday is one of the most important fundraisers for the Arc of Onondaga.
The Dunkin' Arc Race at Longbranch park has something for everyone.
The organization serves nearly 3,000 individuals and families and more than 40 locations. On Saturday, more than 1,500 runners and walkers are expected to participate. You can register on Saturday morning, or at the Syracuse Fleet Feet.
"Without programs and services like Arc of Onondaga some people would have no other place to live, get the services they need, and it's really important to all of us to show that support," said Lauren Kochian, Arc of Onondaga Marketing Director.
"This is the first time Dunkin' has been the title sponsor. We're planning on doing it for three years and hopefully more into the future. It's a great fundraiser. It's for a great charity," added Tom Santurri, Dunkin' Donuts Franchisee.
The kid's run kicks off at 8:30 a.m., the half marathon begins at 9 a.m., the 5K begins at 9:05 a.m., and the 3K begins at 9:10 a.m.
