MINOA, N.Y. -- The Village of Minoa is celebrating its 100th birthday. The village officially reached the milestone in January, but officials have been scheduling events to celebrate all year long.
The first ever festival in the park included a number of vendors, food, music by local bands, a classic car show and the grand finale fireworks show.
Organizers are hoping to throw one more celebration.
"So we're gonna try to plan one more in the winter and have a chili cook off. It's going to be during our tree lighting ceremony that we have every year, but we're gonna try to ramp it up a little bit and maybe have some bands there and music," said Bill Brazill, Village of Minoa Deputy Mayor.
The fireworks were sponsored by Superior Seal and Paving as well as Trapper's Pizza Pub Family of Restaurants.
