MARCELLUS, N.Y. -- Allegations were made by community members against the town highway department at Monday night's town meeting in Marcellus.
According to town officials, they have asked the Onondaga County Sheriff's Department to investigate the allegations. However, those allegations were not discussed during the meeting.
Lawmakers said they have to wait for the investigation to come to an end.
"The board is doing its due dilligence, as quickly as we can to get these matters resolved. Unfortunately the investigative process and the timing of that is out of our control. So we just have to move ahead on their schedule," noted Daniel Ross, Marcellus Town Superviors.
The board is not able to discuss personnel matters in public due to confidentiality issues. Lawmakers plan to make recommendations base on the investigative reports.
