CHENANGO COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Chenango County man has been accused of putting a child in harm's way in the middle of a drunken episode.
Deputies say James Wilber, 39, of Plymouth, was not only throwing stuff, but also destroying things in the home with an axe. The child was able to climb out a window and run to a nearby house to call for help.
Wilber has been charged with child endangerment, reckless endangerment, harassment and menacing. He was sent to the Chenango County Correctional facility on $5,000 cash bail.
